former secretary of the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation,
Tom Perez plays a significant role in promoting and establishing an ex-offender
presence in the Maryland workforce. He knows all of the benefits, and is
dedicated to providing the economic incentives to employers for hiring ex-offenders.
Tom believes hiring ex-offenders is a win-win situation for employers and
communities alike; not only are ex-offenders phenomenal workers, but Maryland
provides a series of tax credits to help further encourage employers.
